Which brand is right for my home?+
It depends on each opening: its size, the design pressure where your home sits, the wall it is installed in, the style you want and the approval that covers that exact configuration. We recommend the series that fits each opening rather than leading with one brand, and we can quote another brand if you want to compare.
Is every product from these manufacturers impact-rated?+
No. Most manufacturers also make non-impact or specialty products, so the exact series and approval matter. Your proposal names the manufacturer, series and approval for every opening.
Where can I check a product approval myself?+
Each brand has a product-approvals page on this site, and every approval can be confirmed in the Florida Product Approval search or the Miami-Dade product approval (NOA) records. Approvals are revised, so we recheck the exact approval on the day we prepare your permit packet.
