Multimax

Budget-friendly

Best for: Multi-family and budget-focused projects, or homeowners who want basic impact protection in white or bronze.

  • Multimax is designed for multi-family projects and tighter budgets
  • Impact: The aluminum Multimax models are rated for large- and small-missile impact
  • Finishes: White and bronze only (AAMA 2604 paint), with a 10-year paint-finish warranty
Full details

Multimax is designed for multi-family projects and tighter budgets. The aluminum models are a single-hung (ES-MX1000), fixed (ES-MX1500), horizontal roller (ES-MX2000), French door (ES-MX3000) and sliding glass door (ES-MX4000). Frames are slim, about 2 3/8 inches deep on the windows, and not thermally broken. Glass is laminated, with Solarban 70 Low-E as an option. Colors are limited to white and bronze. The MX1500 is the ES-1500/1600, the MX2000 is the ES-2000/2100 and the MX3000 is the ES-3000, so these models share the numbered-series approvals.

Why it costs what it does
Multimax is the most budget-friendly ES aluminum impact line. It uses slim frames, laminated-only glass and only two colors, and it is built for multi-family volume.
Impact
The aluminum Multimax models are rated for large- and small-missile impact. The Multimax uPVC models (ES-VL1000/VL1500/VL2000) have no published impact rating.
Thermal
No thermal break. Brochure U-values are about 1.01-1.06 on clear laminated Solarban 70, the only glass build offered.
Finishes
White and bronze only (AAMA 2604 paint), with a 10-year paint-finish warranty. Hardware is corrosion-resistant for coastal areas.

Series: ES-MX1000, ES-MX1500, ES-MX2000, ES-MX3000, ES-MX4000

Elite

Mid-range

Best for: Single-family homeowners who want a full set of impact-rated aluminum windows and doors at a mid-range price.

  • Elite is the ES line built for single-family homes
  • Impact: Every Elite model is impact-rated
  • Finishes: Standard colors are Silver, Dark Gray, Bronze, Black and White
Full details

Elite is the ES line built for single-family homes. It covers single-hung, fixed, sliding, casement and awning windows plus a French door and a sliding glass door. The line meets High Velocity Hurricane Zone requirements, with heat-strengthened glass and corrosion-resistant hardware standard. Frames are standard (not thermally broken) aluminum about 2 1/8 to 4 13/16 inches deep, made for laminated, insulating or insulating-laminated glass. Flush and flange frames suit concrete openings and retrofits; fin frames suit wood construction. Compared with Multimax, Elite adds more frame colors, woodgrain and grid choices, and insulating-glass builds. Compared with Prestige, it lacks the narrow-sightline design, the thermal break and the standard Kynar finish.

Why it costs what it does
Elite costs more than Multimax and the basic numbered series for the same opening because it offers more glass, finish and grid options, and some models have deeper frames. It stays below Prestige: no thermal break, no standard Kynar finish and wider sightlines.
Impact
Every Elite model is impact-rated. Most carry large-missile (LMI) Miami-Dade NOAs; the exception is the ES-5600, approved for small missile (SMI) only.
Thermal
No thermal break; the thick aluminum framing adds thermal resistance. Published U-values are about 0.51-0.70 with insulating-laminated Low-E glass and about 0.96-1.04 with laminated-only glass.
Finishes
Standard colors are Silver, Dark Gray, Bronze, Black and White. Anodized, painted and woodgrain finishes are available. Hardware comes in Bronze, Clear Anodized, White or Black. Elite comes with a 10-year paint-finish warranty that covers coastal environments, and a 10-year glass warranty.

Series: ES-EL100, ES-EL150, ES-EL200, ES-EL400 (window), ES-5000, ES-5100, ES-5500, ES-5600, ES-EL300, ES-EL400 (door)

Elite uPVC

Mid-range

Best for: Homeowners who prefer vinyl (uPVC) frames for insulation and low maintenance but still want impact options.

  • Elite uPVC uses aluminum-reinforced vinyl frames, about 3 1/4 inches deep, instead of aluminum
  • Impact: Most models are impact-rated under their Florida approvals
  • Finishes: White is standard
Full details

Elite uPVC uses aluminum-reinforced vinyl frames, about 3 1/4 inches deep, instead of aluminum. Models are the ES-V100 single-hung, ES-V150 fixed, ES-V200 horizontal roller, ES-V500 casement, ES-V550 awning and ES-V400 sliding door. The August 2026 brochure also includes the ES-V76 Plus and the ES-V88 lift-and-slide. Glass options are 7/16-inch laminated, 7/8-inch insulating and 1-inch insulating-laminated. With Solarban 70 argon glass, U-values are about 0.27-0.28 and STC sound ratings 32-39. Design pressures run lower than the aluminum lines, about +/-50 to +/-80 psf, and every model has a current Florida Product Approval.

Why it costs what it does
Costs more than the matching Elite aluminum model and less than Prestige thermal aluminum, partly because uPVC units normally come with insulating-laminated glass.
Impact
Most models are impact-rated under their Florida approvals. The V100, V150, V200, V500 and V550 have LMI and SMI approvals (FL42159, FL42155-R2, FL42158, FL42156, FL42157), and the V400 door is LMI (FL44037), all approved in and outside the HVHZ. Several models also have non-impact versions or size-specific Florida approvals (FL48422, FL47907-R2, FL48196, FL44037 product .2), and most non-impact versions are approved outside the HVHZ only. The approval drawings govern the exact product, size and glass.
Thermal
Vinyl frames insulate better than standard aluminum. U-values are about 0.27-0.28 on SB70 argon glass for windows and 0.33 for the ES-V400 door.
Finishes
White is standard. Custom colors and laminate foils include Black Smooth, Ceylon Smooth (bronze), Golden Oak, Mahogany and Walnut. Hardware comes in Black or White. Comes with an extended warranty.

Commercial / Impact Condo & Commercial

Mid-range

Best for: Condos, high-rises and commercial buildings.

  • Beyond the branded residential lines, ES makes a large catalog of numbered aluminum series
  • Impact: Some
  • Finishes: Anodized, painted and woodgrain finishes are available on many series
Full details

Beyond the branded residential lines, ES makes a large catalog of numbered aluminum series. These include single-hungs (Series 1000/1050, 1100, 500Y, 600Y, PH-4400), fixed windows (1500, 1600), horizontal sliders (2000/2050, 2100, ES-4000, ES-6000/6100), French doors (Series 3000, 9000/9100) and sliding doors (Series 4000, 6000/6100, 6500/6600, SD451, PH-3200). The catalog also has window walls (7000/7100, 8000, 8000T), storefronts (9500) and curtain walls. Many hold Miami-Dade NOAs. Several are small-missile-only (1100, 1600, 2100, 6100, 6600, 7100, 9100). SMI products are typically meant for higher floors. For example, the Series 2100 NOA requires shutters up to 30 ft above grade.

Why it costs what it does
Cost varies widely. Basic single-hung, fixed and sliding series are among the least expensive ES impact windows. Window walls, tall PH-series units and high-pressure systems cost far more because of size, pressure rating and glass.
Impact
Some. Most numbered series are LMI or LMI/SMI. Some are SMI-only (1100, 1100WW, 1600, 2100, 6100, 6600, 7100, 9100). A few catalog items are not impact-rated, such as the ES-SD450 (+/-50 psf), the ES-21/35/50 stile doors and the ES-4518 interior storefront.
Thermal
Mostly not thermally broken. Exceptions include the ES-8000T window wall/storefront and the ES-4520 storefront.
Finishes
Anodized, painted and woodgrain finishes are available on many series. Exact choices vary by series.

Series: Series 1000/1050, Series 1100, Series 1500, Series 1600, Series 2000/2050, Series 2100, Series 3000, Series 4000 (door), ES-4000 (window), ES-6000/6100 (door)

Prestige

Premium

Best for: Custom and luxury homes that want narrow sightlines, big glass, thermally broken frames and premium finishes.

  • Prestige is the ES premier line, developed with architects
  • Impact: Most Prestige models are impact-rated (LMI and/or SMI), and every Prestige model listed here has a current Miami-Dade NOA or Florida Product Approval
  • Finishes: Kynar paint is standard and carries a 10-15 year finish warranty
Full details

Prestige is the ES premier line, developed with architects. Most Prestige models are thermally broken aluminum: a non-metal barrier separates the inside and outside of the frame. Models include the ES-H340 and ES-SW340 windows, ES-P300 and ES-P252 casements, ES-FX2020 and ES-FX4017 glass walls, ES-SGD1010T, SGD2020, SGD2020T and SGD2040 sliding doors, the ES-46T swing door, the PSD5030 pivot/entry door, the ES-BF5010T bifold and the ES-PGD3040 glass garage door. Frames are generally deeper, and glass panels larger, than in Elite. Kynar paint, coastal hardware, two-tone finishes and an extended warranty are standard.

Why it costs what it does
Prestige is the most expensive ES residential line for a given opening. The thermally broken frames, deeper profiles, insulating-laminated glass, larger tested panels, Kynar finish and premium hardware all add cost.
Impact
Most Prestige models are impact-rated (LMI and/or SMI), and every Prestige model listed here has a current Miami-Dade NOA or Florida Product Approval. The ES-FX4017, ES-PGD3040, ES-P300, ES-SGD2020T and PSD5030 also come in non-impact versions, approved outside the High Velocity Hurricane Zone (HVHZ) only. The SGD1010T, SGD2020, SGD2020T, 46T, BF5010T, PSD5030, P300, FX2020, FX4017 and PGD3040 carry Florida approvals rather than Miami-Dade NOAs. The approval drawings govern each exact configuration.
Thermal
Thermally broken frames on H340, SW340, P300, P252, 46T, PSD5030T, SGD2020T, SGD1010T, BF5010T and 8000T. Published U-values run as low as about 0.35-0.49 with insulating-laminated Low-E glass. The ES-SGD2020 and ES-FX2020 have no published thermal break.
Finishes
Kynar paint is standard and carries a 10-15 year finish warranty. Standard colors are Silver, Dark Gray, Bronze, Black and White, plus Champagne Bronze (a special finish subject to availability). Woodgrains are Mahogany, Nogal, Teka, Sapely, White Oak, Pine, Golden Pecan and Olive. Two-tone finishes and custom colors are available, and coastal hardware is standard.

Series: ES-H340, ES-SW340, ES-P300, ES-P252, ES-FX2020, ES-FX4017, ES-SGD1010T, ES-SGD2020, ES-SGD2020T, ES-SGD2040, ES-46T, PSD5030, ES-BF5010T, ES-PGD3040, ES-8000T

Series 76 uPVC

Premium

Best for: Energy-focused homes, mainly in colder climates, that want European-style tilt-and-turn windows.

  • Series 76 (ES-V76 Plus) is a steel-reinforced vinyl system, 3 inches deep, with tilt-and-turn and fixed windows and a swing door
  • Impact: Some
  • Finishes: White is standard
Full details

Series 76 (ES-V76 Plus) is a steel-reinforced vinyl system, 3 inches deep, with tilt-and-turn and fixed windows and a swing door. It is designed for northern climates, with a focus on energy codes and low air leakage, and has published Phius (Passive House) glazing data. Glass can be dual-pane insulating, dual-pane insulating-laminated or triple-pane. Only the insulating-laminated build is impact-certified; insulating and triple-pane builds are non-impact. Florida design pressures are +/-65 psf impact tilt-and-turn (+/-60 non-impact), +/-75 psf impact fixed and +/-65 psf swing door.

Why it costs what it does
Premium for its type: steel-reinforced uPVC, European tilt-and-turn hardware, thick insulating-laminated glass and multi-point locks.
Impact
Some. The impact tilt-and-turn (FL47550), impact fixed (FL46920-R1 product .1) and balcony swing door (FL44618-R2) are Florida-approved in and outside the HVHZ. The non-impact tilt-and-turn (FL46030) is approved outside the HVHZ only. Only the insulating-laminated glass build is impact-rated.
Thermal
Steel-reinforced vinyl frame. U-value 0.20 on clear SB70 argon glass; STC up to the low 40s.
Finishes
White is standard; custom colors and laminate foils are available. Hardware includes multi-point locks.

Series: ES-V76 Plus (tilt & turn), ES-V76 Plus (fixed), ES-V76 Plus (swing door)

Entry Doors

Premium

Best for: Homeowners choosing a statement front door, such as a pivot or a glass French entry door.

  • The ES entry door range covers the ES-PSD5030T pivot and swing entry system and the decorative ES-EL300 Design Doors
  • Impact: Some
  • Finishes: AAMA 2605 paint, anodized, painted or woodgrain finishes
Full details

The ES entry door range covers the ES-PSD5030T pivot and swing entry system and the decorative ES-EL300 Design Doors. The PSD5030T is thermally broken, with AAMA 2605 paint or woodgrain finishes. The pivot version has an automatic drop-down seal, and the door has damper control, hold-open positions and a modular multi-point lock. It takes captured glass, structural (SSG) glass or phenolic panels. EL300 Design Doors add straight, curved and tiered decorative patterns to the Elite French door. Decorative options do not widen the door's approval.

Why it costs what it does
Pivot and designer entry doors are among the most expensive ES door products for their size. The cost comes from large single panels, pivot hardware, the thermal break, premium finishes and multi-point locks.
Impact
Some. The PSD5030 has Florida approvals for LMI pivot and French versions (in and outside the HVHZ) and non-impact versions (outside the HVHZ only): FL41358-R4 and FL41359-R5. EL300 designs are covered by the EL300 NOAs only where the exact configuration matches the NOA drawings.
Thermal
The PSD5030T is thermally broken. The EL300 is standard aluminum.
Finishes
AAMA 2605 paint, anodized, painted or woodgrain finishes. Some EL300 decorative designs are offered in standard colors only.

Series: PSD5030, ES-EL300

Legacy

Premium

Best for: High-end, design-led homes, mostly outside hurricane-impact zones, that want ultra-slim thermal frames.

  • Legacy is the most design-driven ES residential line, aimed at architects and developers
  • Impact: None
  • Finishes: Kynar paint is standard, with a 10-15 year finish warranty
Full details

Legacy is the most design-driven ES residential line, aimed at architects and developers. It includes the ES-LG225 window wall, ES-LG250 casement/awning, ES-LG450 bifold, ES-LG525 thermal swing door, ES-LG550 pivot door and ES-LG850 multi-slide door. Frames are fully thermally broken with narrow sightlines. Standard glass is tempered 1/4-inch insulating glass with argon, with double-insulated (triple-pane) and laminated options. Legacy carries no missile-impact rating: the ES-LG450 is listed as "non-missile impact rated," the LG250 has a +/-40 psf design load, and no Legacy model has a Miami-Dade NOA.

Why it costs what it does
Premium: full thermal breaks, triple-pane options, Kynar finishes and architectural hardware such as Centor bifold sets. Ask us for a side-by-side quote.
Impact
None. The ES-LG450 is explicitly non-missile impact rated, and no Legacy model has a Miami-Dade NOA or a current Florida approval. Laminated glass is optional for sound and security; on its own it does not make a window impact-rated.
Thermal
Fully thermally broken, with U-values as low as 0.26-0.29 double-glazed and 0.16 on the LG225 triple-glazed.
Finishes
Kynar paint is standard, with a 10-15 year finish warranty. AAMA 2605 colors include Clear, Black and Bronze Anodized, Black, Champagne Bronze, Birchmount Grey, Synchronicity Beige, White and Silver. Woodgrain finishes are available, and hardware comes in Black or Satin.

Elite vs Prestige vs Multimax vs Legacy: which ES line fits your home?

Think of the four aluminum lines as steps. Multimax is the value line: slim frames, laminated glass, white or bronze only. Elite is the main ES single-family impact line, adding insulating-glass builds, more colors, woodgrains and grids. Prestige is the luxury impact line: mostly thermally broken frames, larger glass, narrower sightlines, and Kynar paint as standard. Legacy has the slimmest look and the best insulation, but it is not impact-rated, so it is not a hurricane-zone product. In South Florida most homeowners choose between Elite and Prestige. The decision usually comes down to budget versus energy performance, sightlines and finish.

What is the difference between the ES-MX1000, ES-EL100, ES-V100 and ES-H340?

All four are single-hung windows: the bottom sash slides up and the top stays fixed. The MX1000 and EL100 are standard aluminum frames under 3 inches deep with laminated glass, and they are the budget choices. The EL100 adds Elite colors and an insulating-glass option. The vinyl ES-V100 insulates much better on paper and allows units up to 92 inches tall, but its Florida approval (FL42159, LMI and SMI) lists a lower design pressure, +/-60 psf. The Prestige ES-H340 has a deeper 3 3/8-inch thermally broken frame, separate LMI and SMI NOAs, and heights up to 96 inches with shims. It costs the most, largely because it is normally built with insulating-laminated glass.

What warranty comes with ES Windows products?
