Questions about EMC Windows.

Costs, timing, approvals, and the details worth asking about.

All your questions, answered
Is True Impact an authorized EMC Windows dealer?

Yes. True Impact Windows & Doors is an authorized EMC Windows dealer. We supply and install EMC Windows impact windows and doors across Broward, Palm Beach and Miami-Dade counties. If you want to compare, we can also quote another brand.

What is the difference between the SH2100 and HR2100?

Both are aluminum impact windows with current Florida approvals for the High-Velocity Hurricane Zone. The SH2100 single-hung slides its bottom sash up and suits standard, taller-than-wide openings. On its 2025 approval it reaches EMC's highest window rating with heat-strengthened glass. The HR2100 slides sideways, comes in two- or three-lite layouts and covers much wider openings, up to 111 in. Choose by the shape of the opening and how you want it to open; the load chart then sets the exact size and design pressure for your plans.

What is the difference between the SG2100 and SG5100?

The SG2100 is EMC's everyday slider. It runs from a two-panel door about 8 ft wide up to eight panels on four tracks, and its two-track version carries the higher +80/-100 psf rating. The SG5100 is built for bigger openings: frames up to 120 in. tall and up to 236 in. wide in an OXXO layout, with one heavier laminated glass build rated +/-65 psf. The SG5100 is large-missile only; ask us about availability before you design around it.

What warranty comes with EMC Windows products?

EMC Windows publishes its own warranty terms, linked on this page. Coverage and conditions depend on the product and finish, and the documents for your project are included with your proposal.
