A fresh start for every opening

Old frames. New possibilities.

Replace tired aluminum windows with a considered upgrade for the home you already love.

Replacement windows swap aging or damaged windows for new impact-rated units sized to your existing openings. True Impact measures each opening, confirms the approved product and permit, and installs and seals the new windows, with any finishing work agreed in writing first.

Replace the problem, not just the glass.

Sticking sashes, aging seals, worn hardware, and dated frames deserve a whole-opening assessment. Replacing a pane alone does not turn an ordinary window into an impact-rated assembly.

A retrofit is specific to your home.

The existing wall, opening size, frame condition, and finish details shape the work. Final measurements and a documented scope reduce surprises when old frames come out.

  • Identify water damage or substrate concerns before ordering when possible.
  • Confirm frame finish and sightlines across adjoining rooms.
  • Review ventilation and bedroom escape requirements.
  • Define stucco, drywall, sill, trim, and paint responsibilities.

All at once or one phase at a time?

A whole-home project can simplify coordination. A phased plan can spread the work but may repeat mobilization and permit costs. Document which openings remain unprotected and how future finishes will match.

Leave the home ready to live in.

Agree on access, work areas, debris removal, surface protection, and the final walkthrough. Save your product information, permit records, warranty terms, and maintenance instructions together.

Check any product approval yourself in the Florida Product Approval search or the Miami-Dade product approvals (NOA). Page updated .

Single hungA familiar look. Vertical ventilation.

The lower sash moves up while the upper sash stays fixed. Consider operating height, cleaning access, and room requirements.

Horizontal rollerSide-to-side operation for wider views.

One or more panels slide horizontally. Compare moving panels, clear opening width, screen options, and how easily you can reach the locks.

CasementAn outward-opening sash and clean lines.

A hinged sash opens outward. Plan for clearance near walkways, patios, landscaping, and neighboring openings.

A fixed window frames the view without opening. Consider ventilation elsewhere and whether the room requires an emergency escape opening.

Before you get started

Questions homeowners ask first.

Costs, timing, approvals, and the details worth asking about.

All your questions, answered
Can I replace only some of my windows?

Phasing may be possible, subject to the project’s requirements. Plan for matching finishes, future product availability, repeat permit costs, and openings that will still need storm protection. Replacing selected windows does not protect the entire home.

What should I move before installation?

Clear access to each opening, move fragile items, and plan for furniture, blinds, alarm contacts, children, and pets. Confirm who removes and reinstalls window treatments and sensors, and what protection is included for floors and nearby surfaces.

Are stucco, drywall, painting, and cleanup included?

The written scope should name each included finish repair and cleanup task. Removing old frames may reveal concealed conditions. Ask how unforeseen repairs are documented and approved, and whether painting and finish matching are included.
