Eurocraft impact windows and doors. A homeowner's guide.

Who Eurocraft is, what its aluminum EC series and uPVC line include, how its Florida Product Approvals work, and what the warranty covers.

Eurocraft builds in Medley, in Miami-Dade County.

Eurocraft Industries, Inc. makes impact-rated windows and doors at its office and factory at 9251 NW 112th Ave in Medley, in Miami-Dade County. It builds two families. The aluminum EC series covers fixed, single-hung, horizontal sliding, casement and awning windows, a storefront, sliding glass doors and outswing doors. The uPVC (vinyl) line adds tilt-and-turn and fixed windows and French doors. True Impact is an authorized Eurocraft dealer. Every Eurocraft series is laid out by product type at our Eurocraft page.

The aluminum EC series covers most openings.

The EC series is one aluminum family for homes, condos and light-commercial buildings that want slim frames and high design pressures. It is rated for large and small missile impact, and the EC-400, EC-450 and EC-700 have separate large- and small-missile approvals. Ratings reach +120/−140 psf on the EC-400 and ±140 psf on the EC-450. No thermal break is stated, but low-E coatings and insulated laminated glass are available. Here is the range.

  • EC-100: aluminum picture window that also comes in shapes, such as round tops and eyebrows.
  • EC-150: lighter-duty fixed window with a single 5/16-in. laminated glass build.
  • EC-200: classic single-hung with equal-lite or oriel sash options.
  • EC-300: horizontal slider in two-panel (XO/OX) or three-panel (XOX) layouts.
  • EC-700: casement with a multi-point lock and roto operator, with matching awning and fixed versions.
  • EC-400 and EC-450: sliding glass doors in two- and three-track layouts. Series 120 and Series 180 are earlier sliders that are still Florida-approved.
  • EC-650 residential and EC-600 commercial outswing doors, single or pair.
  • EC-500: front-set 5-in. storefront, also the base for the EC-600 and EC-650 door frames.

The uPVC line uses Koemmerling profiles.

Eurocraft's uPVC System 76 and 88 products are built on profine Koemmerling PVC profiles, with steel-reinforced frames (3/32-in. reinforcement). The line suits owners who want European-style tilt-and-turn, French or lift-and-slide units with vinyl frames. The System 76 fixed window, System 76 tilt-and-turn window and 76AD outswing French door are large-missile rated and approved for the HVHZ. Several other uPVC products had certifications that lapsed in 2024: the Premidoor 88 lift-and-slide door, the 76MD tilt-and-turn window/door on approval FL12092-R6, the Tilt & Slide patio door and the 76MD in-swing balcony door. Do not count on those for a new project; ask us for current options.

Eurocraft uses Florida Product Approvals, not NOAs.

Eurocraft has 19 Florida Product Approvals under the 2023 Florida Building Code, and its products carry Florida approvals for the High-Velocity Hurricane Zone (HVHZ) rather than Miami-Dade NOAs. Each approval comes with Florida-issued installation drawings that set the sizes, glass, design pressures and anchors. The EC-450 has a 2026-code revision, FL47807-R1, pending. The uPVC products whose certifications lapsed in 2024 are not current options, even where the Florida record still reads Approved. The approval for your exact size, glass and wall governs, not the catalog rating, and True Impact confirms the current approval for each opening before permitting. The full list is at the Eurocraft product approvals page.

Glass is laminated, and the build sets the rating.

Eurocraft offers laminated and insulated laminated glass. Aluminum windows take 7/16-in. or 9/16-in. laminated glass with a PVB or SentryGlas interlayer, or 1-1/16-in. insulated laminated glass, and low-E is available. A 5/16-in. laminated build (1/8-in. heat-strengthened glass, 0.090-in. PVB, 1/8-in. heat-strengthened glass) is the EC-150's only build and a lower-pressure option on other windows. Sliding doors and the storefront use 9/16-in. laminated or 1-3/16-in. insulated laminated glass. The build changes the approved pressure: on the EC-200, PVB glass reaches up to ±120 psf and SentryGlas up to ±140 psf. Aluminum finish options are not published; ask us about colors. The uPVC French door is shown with gray frames and tinted glass.

The Eurocraft warranty, in plain words.

One comprehensive limited warranty covers both Eurocraft aluminum and uPVC products. SentryGlas laminated glass is covered for 10 years. PVB laminated glass and insulating glass are covered for 5 years. The warranty is non-transferable and does not cover labor. Because the glass coverage depends on the interlayer, the glass build you choose also sets the length of your glass warranty: a SentryGlas build doubles the glass coverage compared with PVB. Read the full warranty PDF before you order, because it holds the exact terms. Ask us to walk you through what it covers for your products.

Which homes and openings Eurocraft suits.

Eurocraft suits single-family homes, condos and light-commercial buildings, and most openings on a South Florida home have a matching series. Each series has a clear job, so match the series to the opening and to the design pressure that opening needs. Eurocraft does not make a pivot door or a thermally broken door; for those, ask us about the other brands we carry. Compare by product type on our Impact Sliding Glass Door page, our Impact Casement Window page and the other product pages.

  • Bedrooms and traditional elevations: the EC-200 single-hung.
  • Wide, short openings and rooms where a window can't swing out: the EC-300 slider.
  • Modern elevations, egress openings and ventilation: the EC-700 casement, with an awning over fixed lites.
  • Large fixed openings and specialty shapes: the EC-100.
  • Patio and balcony openings up to three tracks: the EC-400.
  • Tall openings and higher-pressure coastal or upper-floor exposures: the EC-450.
  • Front entries and French doors to patios: the EC-650.
  • Patio and balcony French doors in vinyl: the 76AD French Door.
  • Shop, office and building entrances: the EC-500 storefront with the EC-600 door.

How True Impact quotes Eurocraft.

We quote Eurocraft opening by opening from real measurements. Each line item names the exact series, configuration, size and glass build, because the glass build decides both the approved pressure and the glass warranty. Cost depends on the series, the size and the glass, so we can set an aluminum EC unit next to a uPVC unit, or an EC-400 next to an EC-450, for the same opening. Ask us for a side-by-side quote. Before permitting, we confirm the current Florida approval for each opening, and for uPVC products we confirm the certification is current.
